Home village of my mother

Home village of my mother.

On 14th, August, 2013, I rented a motorcycle, and visited the home village of my mother for the first time in 25 years. The village is in the mountain area, and very small, it's in Tubonouchi, Tenkawa village, Nara prefecture, Japan.

The route : Osaka city - Kinki highway - Gojyo city - Totukawa village - Tenkawa village

Total distance : 295 km

Total time : 7 hours

Fuel efficiency : 32 km/L

2nd Maintenance of Mate90

The 2nd maintenance was carried out for front section of Mate90 as follows,

[ Maintenance item ]

1. Exchange of the front fork boots

2. Greasing to the steering head

3. Greasing to the front wheel shaft

On the front fork tubes, there were not the rust and the oil leak.

The bearing was covered to rust, dust and old grease, and didn't move.

The steering did not operate smoothly, but after maintenance, it moved smoothly and precisely!

PANASONIC Bike was assembled by myself, using parts collected at YAHOO auction. Three years and 100,000 JPY were required.

First of all, the maintenance was carried out as follows, Mate90 did not any problem and came to be able to above all.

1. Exchange of the seat surface
2. Addition of the rear seat (made by myself)
3. Addition of the rear utility box (GIVI)
4. Exchange of the rear tire
5. The resolution, cleaning, lubrication of the rear hub to accompany exchange of hub damper
6. Exchange of the air cleaner
7. Exchange of the spark plug (NGK, Iridium)
8. Exchange of the chain and the sprocket gear (front and rear)
9. Exchange of the engine oil (Castrol, Power1-4T, 10W-40, 800cc)
